拍品專文

The rich green colour of celadon glazes are unmistakably inspired by the lustrous tone of green jade. The colour is produced by firing a glaze with iron oxide in a reducing environment.

Longquan wares began in the Song Dynasty (960-1279) and continued into the Yuan dynasty (1279-1368) and the following Ming dynasty (1368-1644). They were not only popular within China, but also formed a large part of the trade network in the Ming dynasty and can be found in Asia, Africa and even Europe.
