A PAIR OF ARCHAISTIC FAUX BRONZE VASES
19TH CENTURY
Each vase is of semi-flattened form and molded with two ring handles at the shoulders. Each is decorated with taotie masks and pendant blades in gold on a dark blue ground, with imitation encrustation in turquoise enamel on areas of the exterior, interior of the neck and the base. There are apocryphal Qianlong seal marks on the bases.
