The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.

Larger pair of Buddhist lions: one conical curl on the spine has been restored and over painted; section of half of one ear has been restored; body crack to one leg measuring max. approx. 2.5cm.
The other large Buddhist lion is in good condition.

Smaller pair of Buddhist lions: one Buddhist lion is in good condition.
The other small Buddhist lion has extensive restoration with over spraying and over painting to two thirds of the back, to one side of the lion, to its head and to a small area of the stand. The area covered overall by restoration measures max. approx. 17cm x 12cm. It is not possible to see whether the restoration covers possible areas of composite material.

Both pairs of Buddhist lions have scratches and surface wear in keeping with their age.
