The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Cette œuvre est vendue encadrée. L'œuvre est sur sa toile d'origine. La surface est très légèrement poussiéreuse. Quelques accrétions sont par endroits sur la surface. Présence de fines craquelures de séchage stables par endroits sur la surface. Deux zones de légers écaillages sont visibles en lumière rasante: une dans la partie supérieure accompagnée de très légers soulèvements, et une dans le quart inférieur droit. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

This work is sold framed. The work is not lined. The surface is very slightly dusty. A few accretions are in places to the surface. There are thin and stable drying cracks in places to the surface. Two areas of slight flaking are visible under raking light: one to the upper part associated to very slight liftings, and one to the lower right quadrant. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
