The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L’œuvre est sur sa toile d’origine. La surface est légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. La toile présente une légère déformation le long du bord gauche dûe au châssis. Quelques traces de frottement, pour certaines associées à des manques de matière, sont visibles principalement à la périphérie de l’œuvre. Quelques accrétions sont visibles par endroits sur la surface. Les irrégularités de surface, telles que les petits trous de la toile, sont inhérentes au support choisi par l’artiste. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The work is not lined. The surface is slightly dirty and dusty. The canvas presents a slight distortion along the left edge due to the stretcher. Some rubbing, for some associated with paint losses, are visible, mostly to the periphery of the work. A few accretions are visible in places to the surface. The irregularities to the surface, such as small holes in the canvas, are inherent to the support chosen by the artist. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
