The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L'œuvre est sur sa toile d'origine. La surface est très légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. La toile est très légèrement détendue et présente une très légère ondulation dans l'angle supérieur gauche. Quelques très légères traces de frottement et de manipulation sont visibles le long des bords. Un très petit enfoncement est visible le long du bord inférieur vers le centre, un autre le long du bord gauche vers le centre. Une très légère marque de châssis est visible le long du bord inférieur. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The work is not lined. The surface is slightly dirty and dusty. The canvas is very slightly loose and undulates very slightly to the upper left corner. Some minor rubbing and very slight handling traces are visible along the edges. A very small dent is visible along the lower part towards the center, another along the right edge to the center. A very slight stretcher mark is visible along the lower edge. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
