The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

La structure de l’œuvre est en bonne condition. La surface est légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. Quelques aplats de la matière et légères traces de frottement sont visibles par endroits, notamment le long des bords; une est accompagnée d'un petit manque de matière le long du bord droit. Les craquelures sous le vernis sont inhérentes à la méthode de travail de l'artiste. Présence de petites accrétions par endroits sur la surface. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The work is structurally sound. The surface is slightly dirty and dusty. A few paint flattening and some slight rubbing are visible in places along the edges; one is accompanied with a small paint loss along the right edge. The cracks are inherent to the artist's working method. There are few small accretions in places to the surface. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
