The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Cette œuvre est vendue encadrée. L'œuvre est sur sa toile d’origine. La toile est légèrement détendue. La surface est encrassée et poussiéreuse. L’angle supérieur droit présente une légère usure. Quelques points de manque de matière sont visibles par endroits le long des bords. Présence de zones d’écaillage ainsi que de quelques zones de craquelure de séchage, pour certaines très légèrement soulevées, par endroits sur la surface et principalement en périphérie de l’œuvre. Présence d’accrétions et de piqûres par endroits sur la surface, principalement dans la partie inférieure. Quelques traces de frottement sont visibles dans les quarts inférieur et supérieur droit. Une légère trace de frottement, associée à un léger enfoncement est visible le long du bord supérieur au centre. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. L'état de cette œuvre pourrait être amélioré par l'intervention d'un restaurateur.

This work is sold framed. The work is not lined. The canvas is slightly loose. The surface is dirty and dusty. There is a slight wear to the upper right corner. There are a few points of paint losses in places along the edges. There are areas of flaking as well as a few areas of drying cracks, for some very slightly lifted, in places to the surface, and mostly to the periphery of the work. There are a few accretions and spots of foxing in places to the surface, mostly to the lower part. Rubbing is visible to the lower and upper right quadrants. Minor rubbing, associated to a slight point of dent, is visible along the upper edge to the center. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. The condition of this work could be improved by the intervention of a restorer.
