The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Tous les éléments semblent être présents. La structure de l’œuvre est en bonne condition. Les bustes sont posées sur les bases sans fixation. L’assemblage de chaque socle est réalisé par le collage de quatre plaques en marbre. Des pièces triangulaires sont l’intérieur de chaque colonne afin de stabiliser la structure. Une petite plaque de marbre carrée est sur chaque colonne, retenue sur son emplacement avec quatre cales. La surface est légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse, principalement dans les recoins. La patine des bronze est légèrement passée et présentent quelques très légères usures. Présence de traces d’oxydation, de verts-de-gris et de quelques accrétions par endroits sur la surface. Les écritures dorées présentent de légères usures. Les irrégularités de surfaces telles que les griffures superficielles et petits enfoncements sont inhérentes aux matériaux choisis par l’artiste. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

All elements appear to be present. The work is structurally sound. The heads are placed on the bases without fixation. The assembly of each base consists of four marble plates glued together. Triangular pieces are inside each column in order to stabilize the structure. A small square marble plaque is on each column, held in place with four wedges. The surface is slightly dirty and dusty, mostly to the recesses. The bronze’s patina has slightly fainted and presents a few very slight wears in places. There are oxidation marks, green-grey spots and a few accretions in places to the surface. The golden writing present slight wears. The irregularities to the surface such as the superficial scratches and small dents are inherent to the medium chosen by the artist. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
