The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L’œuvre est sur sa toile d’origine. La surface est légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. Quelques légères traces de frottement sont visibles par endroits le long des bords, et principalement le long du bord supérieur; certaines sont accompagnées de petits manques de matière. Examinée à la lumière UV : pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conversation.

The work is not lined. The surface is slightly dirty and dusty. Some minor rubbing is visible along the edges, and mostly along the upper edge; some are accompanied with small paint losses. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
