The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

La feuille est contrecollée au revers le long des bords à un support cartonné et a légèrement jauni. La feuille presente une légère décoloration le long des bords. Trois petites anciennes déchirures semblent avoir été consolidées: le long du bord supérieur à gauche; le long du bord gauche dans la partie supérieure; et la troisième le long du bord inférieur à droite. Quelques fines craquelures, certaines accompagnées par de légers soulevements, sont visibles par endroits dans les empâtements. La surface présente quelques points d’accrétions par endroits. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The sheet is laid along the edges on the reverse to a cardboard support and has slightly yellowed. The sheet is slightly discoloured along the edges. There are three former tears that have been restored: one along the upper edge to the left; another along the left edge to the upper part; and the last one along the lower edge to the right. There are hairline cracks, some are associated with slight lifting, to the impastos. There are pinpoint accretions to the surface in places. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
