The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L'oeuvre est sur sa toile d'origine. La surface est légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. Quelques petites zones d'écaillage sont visibles par endroits, principalement le long des bords. Quelques fines craquelures sont visibles par endroits dans les empâtements blancs. Les irrégularités de la matière sont inhérentes à la méthode de travail de l'artiste. Quelques points d'humidité sont visibles au dos de l'oeuvre. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent.

The work is not lined. The surface is slightly dirty and dusty. There are minor flacking areas in some sections especially along the edges. There are hairline cracks that are visible in some of the white impastos. The medium irregularities are inherent to the artist’s working method. On the reverse there are some foxing points associated with humidity. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting.
