The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L'œuvre est sur sa toile d'origine. La surface est légèrement vernie. Deux très légères traces de frottement sont visibles: l'une dans le quart supérieur gauche; la seconde vers le centre et visible en lumière rasante. Quelques points d'accrétion sont visibles par endroits sur la surface. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l'oeuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The work is not lined. The surface is slightly varnished. There is some minor rubbing: to the upper left quadrant and to the center, visible under racking light. There are a few pinpoint accretions in places. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
