The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Cette œuvre est vendue encadrée. La feuille est fixée au revers à un support cartonné par des points de colle. Un très léger jaunissement est visible sur les écritures au centre de la composition. L'angle inférieur droit présente une très légère marque de pliure. Quelques résidus de ruban adhésif sont visibles le long du bord supérieur. Quelques très légers points d'accrétion sont visibles par endroits sur la surface, notamment à gauche du mot 'children'. Une très petite déchirure est visible le long du bord inférieur, vers le centre. La légère ondulation de la feuille, associée à une pliure le long du bord gauche, et les quelques légères traces de manipulation visibles principalement dans le quart supérieur droit sont inhérentes à la méthode de travail de l'artiste. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

This work is sold framed. The sheet is hinged on the reverse to a cardboard support with points of glue. The writing to the center has very slightly yellowed. The lower right corner presents a very slight folding mark. A few tape residues are visible along the upper edge. A few very slight pinpoint accretion are visible in places to the surface, mostly to the left of the word 'children'. A very small tear is visible along the lower edge, to the center. The slight sheet's undulation, associated to a folding mark to the left edge, and the few slight handling marks visible mostly to the upper right quadrant are inherent to the artist's working method. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
