Composition

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Cette œuvre est vendue encadrée. Un tissu de bordage noir court le long des bords. L'œuvre est sur sa toile d'origine. La toile est très légèrement détendue. La surface est très légèrement poussiéreuse. Les irrégularités de surface telles que la légère trace de pliure et les très légers accrocs de la toile, uniquement visibles en lumière rasante, sont inhérentes à la toile de lin choisie part l'artiste. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

This work is sold framed. A black framing paper runs along the edges. The work is not lined. The canvas is very slightly loose. The surface is very slightly dusty. The irregularities to the surface such as the slight folding mark to the lower right quadrant and the very slight snags of the canvas, only visible under racking light, are inherent to the linen canvas chosen by the artist. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
