The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L’œuvre est sur sa toile d’origine. La surface est légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. Le châssis présente une très légère déformation. De très légères traces de frottement sont visibles par endroits le long des bords. Quelques points d’accrétion sont visibles par endroits sur la surface. Les irrégularités telles que les résidus de colle, pliures et petites déchirures du papier sont inhérentes à la méthode de travail de l’artiste. Examinée à la lumière UV : pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The work is not lined. The surface is slightly dirty and dusty. The stretcher shows a slight deformation. Some minor rubbing is visible in places along the edges. A few pinpoint accretions are visible in places. The irregularities such as the glue residues, folds and small rips of the paper are inherent to the artist's working method. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
