Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This work is sold framed. The work is not lined. A black framing strip is along the turnover edges. The canvas is slightly loose and undulates slightly. The surface is very slightly dusty. There are hairline drying cracks in some impastos and small accretions in places to the surface. The slight handling marks visible in places along the edges are inherent to the artist’s working method. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
