The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Cette œuvre est vendue encadrée. L'œuvre est sur sa toile d’origine. La toile est très légèrement détendue. Une très légère déformation du châssis est visible dans l’angle inférieur droit. Présence de petites accretions par endroits sur la surface ainsi que de petites piqûres le long du bord gauche. Une très fine craquelure de séchage est visible dans l’angle inférieur gauche et des micro écaillages sont visibles le long du bord inférieur, vers le centre. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

This work is sold framed. The work is not lined. The canvas is slightly loose. The stretcher presents a slight deformation to the lower right corner. There are a few small accretions in places to the surface and some tiny foxing marks along the left edge. There is a hairline crack visible to the lower left corner and some minor flaking along the lower edge, towards the center. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
