The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
La surface est très légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. Les anges inférieurs et supérieur gauche présentent de légères usures, accompagnés de petits éclats. Quelques points d’accrétion sont par endroits sur la surface. Présence de très légères traces de frottement par endroits, principalement en périphérie de l’œuvre. Présence de petits points d’éclats par endroits sur la surface, principalement dans le quart supérieur gauche, et un le long du bord inférieur, vers la gauche. Le cadre d’artiste présente quelques points d’accrétion, griffures superficielles et de très légères traces de manipulation. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.
The surface is very slightly dirty and dusty. The lower and upper left corners present slight wears, accompanied with small paint chips. A few pinpoint accretions are in places to the surface. There are a few minor rubbings in places to the surface, mostly to the periphery of the work. There are small paint chips in places to the surface, mostly to the upper left quadrant, and a small one along the lower edge, towards the left. The artist’s frame presents a few pinpoint accretions, superficial scratches and very slight handling marks. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
