The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

All of the hardware is a later replacement, most likely lacking cover apliques. Considerable losses to the lacquer joins; all the corners have been heavily re-lacquered, probably covering old losses. The base of the chest with large age cracks across the edges. On the interior there is an age crack to the bottom panel and areas of re-lacquering. Once with a lock-plate, now lacking. NO KEY.
