The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The lot in nice overall condition with some very light wear to the gilding. The basin with some faint surface scratches and wear, primarily to the interior where the ewer would rest. The ewer with a short faint hairline crack to one side of the upper handle terminal and a crescent-shaped hairling crack to the rim near the spout, both appear to eminate from small firing cracks in the making; a tiny chip to footrim.
