Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Watercolour, pen and ink and pencil on paper. The reverse of the sheet is taped to a smaller board support along the four edges. The edges slightly uneven. One minute tear at the centre of the upper edge. Some pale light-staining with a very few pale spots of foxing in places. The two upper corners with small areas of discoloration. On the reverse: a study in pencil of a man (by the artist) and a pencil inscription. Medium is strong throughout. Subject to the foregoing it is or opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
