The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Watercolour, gouache and pencil on paper. The reverse of the sheet is hinged to the mount in four places. The right and lower edges are uneven. Seven artist's tack holes along the upper edge. A pale stain towards the upper right corner. Some very pale light-staining with one or two fox mark in places. A V-shape repaired tear (approx. 0³⁄₄ in.) at the centre of the right edge (with associated Japan paper on the reverse). Subject to the foregoing it is or opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Aquarelle, gouache et graphite sur papier. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu par des charnières au montage à quatre endroits. Les bords droit et inférieur sont irréguliers. Sept trous de punaise faits par l’artiste le long du bord supérieur. Une légère tâche vers le coin supérieur droit. Très légère insolation de la feuille avec deux ou trois piqûres par endroits. Une déchirure en forme de V restaurée (approx 1.9 cm.) au centre du bord droit (associée à du papier Japon au revers). Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.
