The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Watercolour, charcoal and pastel on paper. The sheet is hinged to a support in two places along the reverse upper edge. Some pale light-staining with a few associated spots of foxing in places. A few small stains towards the centre of the lower edge and in the figure’s neck (probably dating from the artist studio). One or two small diagonal flattened fold to the upper and lower right corners. A small horizontal tear (approx. 0.5 cm.) along the lower part of the right edge. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Aquarelle, fusain et pastel sur papier. La feuille est maintenue par des charnières à un support à deux endroits le long du bord supérieur à son revers. Légère insolation de la feuille associée à de rares piqûres par endroits. Quelques petites taches vers le centre du bord inférieur et dans le cou du modèle (datant probablement de l’atelierde l’artiste). Une ou deux petites pliures diagonales aplaties aux coins supérieurs et inférieurs droits. Une petite déchirure horizontale (approx. 0.5 cm.) le long de la partie inférieure du bord droit. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en bonne condition générale.
