The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Watercolour and black chalk on laid paper laid down on card. The reverse of the card is taped to a support along the lower and upper edges. Some mount-staining and associated very pale light-staining with a very few associated spots of foxing mainly along the centre right edge. A few vertical fine lines of discolouration, mainly in the sky in the right part of the composition, inherent with the laid paper. A very few pale stains towards the left edge. Medium is very strong and very fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing it is or opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Aquarelle et pierre noire sur papier vergé marouflé sur papier fort. Le revers du papier fort est fixé par du ruban adhésif au support le long des bords inférieur et supérieur. Brunissement de la feuille du au montage et très légère insolation de la feuille associées à de très rares piqûres associées par endroits, principalement le long du centre du bord droit. De rares lignes verticales de décoloration, principalement dans le ciel dans la partie droite de la composition, inhérentes au papier vergé. De très rares légères tâches vers le bord gauche. Le médium est très vif et très frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.
