The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas. Not lined. Varnished. Some very minor frame abrasions to the extreme edges. A few very fine lines of stable craquelures in the thicker passages of paint in the lower right quadrant. A few pinpoint accretions. Examined under ultra-violet light: some intermittent small strokes of retouching along the upper edge and upper and lower left corners. Some scattered pinpoints of retouching in the sky in places. The colours are fresh and strong and impasto is well preserved. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the artwork is in overall very good condition.
