The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas. Not lined. Not varnished. Some undulation to the canvas in places. A perforation to the canvas at the right upper edge. Two unobtrusive vertical stretcher bar marks across the central house, with some associated fine lines of craquelure. Networks of fine craquelure throughout the composition with a few associated pigment losses. Pale surface dirt. Examined under ultraviolet light: no apparent retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
