The inro decorated in gold, silver and black lacquer and inlaid in lead against a dense sprinkled-gold lacquer ground (nashiji), with a lively depiction of an army of ants clambering over leaves and over the top of the inro, fundame interiors and risers, attached lacquer manju netsuke similarly decorated with leaves against a nashiji ground, copper-gilt ojime pierced with flowers and leaves
7.2 cm. (2.6/8 in.) long (the inro)
4.5 cm. (1¾ in.) wide (the netsuke)
