The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in its condition acquired after its original manufacture.
The first:
- Gold lacquer repairs to the rim and foot.
- Some hairline cracks extending from the rim into the body.
- Small chips and frits around the rim.
- Stilt marks to the interior from the firing.
The second:
- Slight wear to the glaze and rubbing to the iron decoration.
- Gold lacquer repair to the bowl.
- A few small, old chips to the foot.
