- Overall in good condition for age.
- As can be seen in the photographs there is slight toning overall to the paper and some light surface marks in places.
- There are some tears to the paper and associated restoration, with some retouching of black pigment in places.
- The right-hand panel of the right screen - the paper with minute foxing overall.
- The hinges and brocade mounts are in good condition.
- The black lacquer frame overall in good condition, with some minor wear including scratches and small chips consistent with use, and later screw fixings applied to top back edge.
- Backing paper overall in good condition with slight tear at top.
