EDO PERIOD (19TH CENTURY)

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in its condition acquired after its original manufacture.
The first:
- Good condition.
- Fitted box with slight wear and marks consistent with use, otherwise good condition.
The second:
- A crack from the rim into the body approximately 3 cm. (1⅛ in.) long and another smaller approx. 1.4 cm. (½ in.) long.
- Some glaze flaws typical of this type of dish and minor surface wear.
The third:
- Frits and a few small chips to the rim and some old chips to the underside of the rim.
- Slight surface wear consistent with age and use.
