The first of broad width, low, rounded sides and uneven rim, decorated in a thick black glaze falling short of the foot, the sides with incised decoration of auspicious objects including Daikoku's mallet and sacred pearls, incised mark to base; the second with tall, straight sides incised with concentric rings, decorated in a crackled greyish-pink glaze falling short of the foot, with associated wood box and brocade storage bag
