    stamped with the artist's signature, the François and Pierre Hugo reference number, marked and numbered 'Max Ernst / 2265 / 0553 / EXEMPLAIRE D'ARTISTE / 2/2' and stamped with the goldsmith's mark and the French assay mark (on the reverse)

    Executed in 1961, in a numbered edition of eight plus two exemplaires d'artiste and two exemplaires d'auteur; with a wooden case. This is one of the two exemplaires d'artiste.
