Lot Essay

The first design shows Shizuka-gozen in a straw cape walking through the snow. The second design depicts The Empress Jingu watching the return of her victorious fleet of ships from Korea. The third is of Lady Tamamushi watching the arrow of Nasu no Yoichi carrying away the fan from the pole on her boat and the fourth is Tegoshi no Shasho in heavy rain, waiting to guide the Soga brothers to their revenge.
