Lot Essay

This series was a collaboration between the three artists, Kuniyoshi, Hiroshige and Kunisada, and each print compares a famous poem with a scene from Japanese history or theatre. The complete set comprises 100 prints, with 14 by Kunisada, 35 by Hiroshige and 51 by Kuniyoshi.
