Each print of this series shows one or two heroic warriors from the 47 Ronin. Always dressed in black robes with a zig-zag edge, the first design depicts Muramatsu Sandayu Takanao in the foreground battling with Yanagihara Heiemon, and the second design shows Yato Yomoshichi Norikane kneeling with Chiba Saburohei Mitsutada standing behind leaning on his halberd.
