2. Foreigners Enjoying a Party (Gaikokujin yukyo no zu), each sheet signed Yoshitora ga, published by Izumiya Ichibei, 1861
Both vertical oban triptychs (each sheet approx. 36.5 x 25 cm.)

Lot Essay

The first triptych depicts in lively detail the interior of a trader's house with two Western clerks, a Chinese man holding up a length of cloth and a butcher cutting meat.
