Lot Essay

This print depicts a lively scene on the banks of a small river near the Oji Inari Shrine. An old cherry tree blooms in the mist and two children carry a net and bucket. Two women with a small child pass by a woman seated on a mat beneath a tree, who is selling fox-shaped dolls as souvenirs and sweets in paper bags.
