Four woodblock prints and a preparatory drawing
Each a woodblock print, and comprising:

1) Nissaka: Sayo no Nakayama and a Distant View of Mount Muken (Sayo no Nakayama, Muken-yama enkei); the Bell of Muken (Muken no kane), from the series The Fifty-three Stations by Two Brushes (Sohitsu gojusan tsugi), signed Hiroshige ga andToyokuni ga in a toshidama cartouche, censor’s seal aratame, published by Maruya Kyushiro, 12th month 1854

2) Just a Minute! (Shibaraku): The actor Ichikawa Ebizo V in the role of Kamakura Gengoro Kagemasa, from the series The Eighteen Great Kabuki Plays (Juhachiban no uchi), signed Ichiyosai Toyokuni hitsu, censor’s seals Mera (Mera Ta’ichiro) and Watanabe (Watanabe Gentaro), published by Ebisuya Shoshichi (Kinshodo), 3rd month 1852

3) In the Sea at Kuwana: Catching Whitebait with a Net in Winter Twilight (Kuwana no umi, fuyugure shirauo ami), from the series The Fifty-three Stations by Two Brushes (Sohitsu gojusan tsugi), signed Hiroshige hitsu and Toyokuni ga in a toshidama cartouche, censor’s seal aratame, published by Maruya Kyushiro, 8th month 1855

4) Fujikawa Station: The actor Onoe Tamizo II as Sasaki Fujitaro, together with a preparatory drawing (shita-e), from the series Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido Road (Tokaido gojusan tsugi no uchi), signed Toyokuni ga, censor’s seal Hama (Hama Yahei) and Magome (Magome Kangeyu), published by Iseya Kanekichi, 5th month 1852
Each vertical oban:
The first: 36.6 x 25.4 cm. (1438 x 10 in.)
The second: 35.7 x 23.6 cm. (1418 x 938 in.)
The third: 38 x 26.1 cm. (15 x 1014 in.)
The fourth: 36.5 x 25 cm. (1438 x 9.7/9 in.)
The drawing: 42.1 x 28.5 cm. (1658 x 1114 in.) (including backing paper)
