Lord Minamoto Yorimitsu (948-1021) (also known as Minamoto no Raiko) with three of his legendary retainers, the Four Guardian Kings (Shintenno), Urabe Suetake, Hirai Yasumasa, and Watanabe no Tsune. The warriors are looking for the notorious thief Hakamadare Yasusuke who uses magic to create a dramatic illusion of a fatal battle between a giant serpent and a bear to distract his pursuers.
