Lot Essay

Yamakawa Shuho was an accomplished painter who produced a very small number of woodblock prints. The remaining three designs of this series of four bijin prints are: Approaching Snow (Yuki moyoi) (see Lot 107), Twilight (Tasogare), and Autumn (Aki).
