- There are some areas of loss and lifting to the metallic threads, particularly to the central dragon on the front and the reverse, and to scattered areas throughout
- The robe has been later tailored and the sleeve extensions and lining are not original
- The robe is slightly faded
- Some of the buttons are missing and some of the button may be replaced
- There is some puckering to the hem due to tailoring
- There are some expected pulls to the gauze
- The robe would benefit from some light conservation
