The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired since its initial manufacture.
All:
- there are expected nicks to the edges and extremities
- there are inclusion and fissures in the stone
The horse:
- one leg is missing, the other three legs have restore breaks
The elephant:
- there is a fissures to the front of the elephant and few other small fissures
The buffalo:
- as can be seen in catalogue illustration, the cover is now missing
The three-ram group:
- the dark rust color is later enhanced
