The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired since its initial manufacture.
All:
- expected nicks to the edges, inclusions and fissures to the stone
The horse belt buckle:
- there is a fissure to the face and the neck
- there are few surface chips and slice marks
The Chilong belt buckle:
- there are a few small areas of loss to the relief carving
- the russet color is possibly later enhanced
The goose head belt hook:
- a knock and a fissure to the shaft, and few polished chips to the edges
The white jade dragon belt hook:
-a few polished chips to the edges
