The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired since its initial manufacture.
All:
- expected nicks to the edges, inclusions and fissures to the stone
the greyish-white recumbent dog:
- one side of the stone has areas of alteration
- a polished chip to the proper left front paw
The green jadeite dog:
- there are a few dark fissures in the stone
The cane ornament:
- the ornament and stick have been restuck with few chips to the neck of the dog
- chips to the bottom of the stick
- a few short cracks to the stick
