The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Teabowls and saucers:
- Some very small scattered chips
- Light rubbing, scratches and wear to the enamel and the gilding
- A few firing imperfections including one teabowl with a small firing crack to the rim (approx 1/8 in.) and another very tiny one at the bottom.
- A few areas of old adhesive to one saucer
Spice box and cover:
- Expected surface abarsion and wear to the enamel decoration with a few small areas of touch-up
- Some minor chips, nicks, and firing imperfections to the body
- The pierced cover has been restored
Tea caddies:
- The tea caddies appear to be in overall good condition.
- One cover has been broken and restored.
