The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
All: Appear to be in overall good condition, with expected minute nicks to the edges and extremities
Rectangular plaque: - A few small losses to the prunus branches
- A few fine and inherent fissures
A bi with chilong:
- A few small losses to the carved dragon, a few areas might have been re-carved and the bi might have been slightly reshaped
- A few fine cracks or fissures
Circular plaque:
- A small drilled hole on opposite sides for attachment purposes
- Expected light rubbing to the gilt
- A few short and fine fissures inherent in the material
