The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired since its initial manufacture.
Pair of egret badges:
- Both badges are faded
- The front badge with a break in the embroidery to the upper border and the back badge with a break to the lower left corner
Mandarin duck badge:
- In overall good condition with very vibrant threads
- There is some loss and lifting to the gold threads around the border
