The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- Restored break to the figure’s neck and proper right ear with associated loss and overpainting to beard, and a small surface chip to proper right eyebrow
- A few other restored breaks with associated overpainting and coating around the figure’s waist, knee and hip levels and continues to the back of the bench and associated with the restoration on the proper right side of the bench, and to the bottom of the robe and the footrest
- A few expected chips and nicks to the edges and extremities, and wear overall
- The attachment to the back of hat is missing
