The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition acquired since its initial manufacture.
- both with expected wear to the gilding and to the surface
- one candlestick: two patches of fill to the stem, and a few small cracks with associated minor loss on the stem and base
- the other: with small losses, particularly to the top of the stem
